ChecKITtube is a complete solution for packaging inspection that combines an Hardware Kit and a software developed by SEA Vision to control squeezable tubes packaging codes, even during the high-speed rotation on the tube filling and closing machine.
The software is designed to control: the squeeze tubes correct orientation, the printed pharmacodes or mini-pharma code, and the printed orientation mark on the tube’s side to be sealed.
In order to overcome the limits of a traditional cameras images acquisition in the reading of long codes on cylindrical objects, checKITtube uses a sensor provided with a LED emitter and RGB photodiodes. While the RGB photodiodes allow the control of pharmacodes (even coloured), the LED technology allows the reading of long codes printed on cylindrical objects.
According to the position of the codes or orientation mark, the vision system is able to exchange a signal with the machine to correctly orientate the tube, ensuring perfect graphic artwork positioning.
An integrated microprocessor ensures inspection results in just milliseconds, without affecting the machine’s speed.
The installed software and the integration with the machine PLC, grant the highest quality inspection procedures and a defects-free production: while 100% of products units are inspected, the vision system manages the rejection of each non-compliant item.
The vision system is specifically designed for the pharmaceutical market, and it is compliant with the industry regulations, with user access regulated by FDA 21 CFR part 11 and annex 11. All events are registered by the software in an audit trail file to keep track of all the security-relevant activities.
The continuous Software development follows Gamp 5, to always improve products quality and consistency.
The kit is provided with Databox system, a powerful vision system completely developed in-house by SEA Vision. Databox is capable to control 1D, 2D and non-serialized codes, perform OCV/OCR control on variable data and special inspections on the packaging.
The solution’s software is natively integrated with Yudoo, the 4.0 pharmaceutical software suite for the full management of automation processes, digital quality, data analysis and for Track&Trace. A digital hub that is everywhere accessible through a secure-access web interface or dedicated devices.
